A New Year, A New Term, A New Start

This year brings with it harsh weather and harder courses. I’ve finished my first week in Fiction Writing and Applied History. What exciting and frightening topics these are! It feels like I’m over my head, but if I take my time and sit back to read everything, letting it sink in, I find me footing. I can do this.

The objective in the Fiction Writing Course is to write an 8 page short story by the end of the 8 weeks. I don’t think I’ve ever written anything that short. Novel writing is what I’m used to, which is 50,000 to 60,000 words per book. If I let the idea of I’ve never done this take over, I won’t be able to do it. So I’m going in with the mindset that I know how to write and I definitely will be able to write 8 pages of. a good story. #snhu #creativewriting

New things in the works for me. I've applied to Southern New Hampshire University for a Creative Writing Bachelors degree. My two kids and I are doing better in our recovery over the loss of my youngest son, their little brother. We're in a lower apartment which allows me to be more a part of the building's community.
